OPP Transcripts

News reports on both radio and television and in print media have made much of the fact that Shawn Brant's cell phone was tapped without a warrant. Transcriptions of the telephone conversations between Commissioner Fantino and Mr. Brant are available at http://www.intelligencer.ca/ArticleDisplay.aspx?e=1123474. No where in those transcriptions do I see a threat made as claimed by Mr Brant and his lawyer. No where is there any mention made of armored personnel carriers or of bringing in the army as claimed by Mr. Brant, nor did I ever see any in the television coverage of the day of protest. I think Mr. Brant has had his moment of fame and that the media should just ignore him. From here on in, I think he is doing more harm that good to the Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte.
